Why Worry?

Matthew 6:25 (KJV)

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

I recently did some reflection on a short passage of Scripture: Matthew 6:25-34. Just 10 out of 111 verses from the Sermon on the Mount.

Lesson 1:

It's personal: God knows what YOU need.

As the Creator, Genesis 1:1, God designed man with the plan that man would depend on Him for his daily provision. Food. Clothing. Shelter.

God is interested in you personally. He knows you individually and knows what your deepest desires are.

He who provides for the birds of the air (verse 26), the flowers of the field (verse 28) and even the grass (verse 30) can also satisfy the longings of men's heart. Read Psalms 37:4.

Psalms 37:4 (KJV)

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

God made you and He knows you personally. Trust Him when He says He will take care of you.

The Heritage Singers say it well: God will take care of you.
