How Long?

Lesson 4: Patience

ree

So far I have asked, "Why Worry?" and "Why Wait?" and shared the "Recipe for Peace of Mind". Lesson 4 asks, "How Long?"

We should not worry about the future.

Matthew 6:34 (KJV)

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

God is an on time God. He know's the end from the beginning. Read Isaiah 46:9,10.

9 Remember former things of old, For I [am] Mighty, and there is none else, God -- and there is none like Me.

10 Declaring from the beginning the latter end, And from of old that which hath not been done, Saying, `My counsel doth stand, And all My delight I do.' (Isaiah 46:9-10 - YTLT)

We cannot even see what is right before our eyes without help. Not only does He know how much we need, He also knows when it is needed.

We can trust God to provide for our needs at the right time and go through life, like the old gospel song by Linda Randle says, "One Day at aTime".

One day at a time, sweet Jesus

That's all I'm asking of You

Give me the strength to do everyday

What I have to do

Yesterday's gone, sweet Jesus

And tomorrow may never be mine

Help me today

Show me the way

One day at a time
