Lessons From Sheep: A Familiar Cry

Sheep are social animals that gather into flocks for protection. They communicate with each other by bleating and scent.

Sheep bleat to talk to each other. A ewe (female sheep) can recognise her lamb by its bleat.

To have good earthly relationships we must spend time together, talking together and listening to each other. God wants to have regular, two-way communication with us.

To have a healthy relationship with God we must listen to Him and we must talk to Him. We listen to God by reading His Word and by studying the things He has created. See Romams 1:20.

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:" (Romans 1:20 - KJV)

We talk to God by praying to Him.

Lesson: When we pray to God, He will recognise our voice and will answer us.

Prayer Promise: See Jeremiah 33:3

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." (Jeremiah 33:3 - KJV)
