Lesson 7. Pray.
Matthew 6:6 (KJV)
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Why worry when you can pray?
The chorus of a popular gospel song says,
"Why worry when you can pray?
Trust Jesus, He will lead the way.
Don't be like doubting Thomas.
Put your hope and trust in Jesus.
Why worry, why worry, when you can pray?"
It is our privilege to go to God in prayer. We are invited to take our burdens to the Lord and leave them at His feet. We can ask Him to reveal His will for us personally and for the resources to carry out those plans.
Reflect on a time when you had to trust God for something.
Conclusion:
I encourage us all today to cast ALL our cares upon Jesus (1 Peter 5:7), the One who created us and loves us dearly, for He promises that all the things that we truly need will be ours.
